Are some of your trees and shrubs were getting out of hand — shaggy, dense, and perhaps a bit depleted? Winter is an excellent time to address these issues because for many plants dormancy is the best period to prune. Kacey Cloues will identify a number of plants best pruned in winter as well as demonstrate proper pruning techniques.
- Pruning for health/rejuvenating cuts
- Removing undesirable growth
- Cutting cleanly and correctly
- Removing tree branches and larger limbs
- Pruning techniques for healthy hedges (e.g., boxwood, loropetalum and beyond)
