Class: Houseplants 201
Saturday, August 19 — 10:15am
$15 general admission/$10 Homestead Atlanta members – registration required
This class takes you beyond the basics and delves into the subtler nuances and challenges of houseplant stewardship.
Some of the topics we’ll discuss include:
- Troubleshooting problems – identifying symptoms of pests, diseases, and under-watering vs. over-watering
- Fertilizer – how much, what kind, and how often
- Watering & humidity management – tips for individualizing your watering routine
Instructor: Adam Busshaus, Garden*Hood nursery and landscape crew member. A Florida native, Adam has spent years among tropical plants. Not only is he familiar with how they grow in the natural landscape (where things we consider small coffee table plants here in Zone 7b grow into large shrubs down in Zone 10-11!), he also has experience with a wide variety of interiorscapes. He has managed interior plant care for settings ranging from hospitals to private residences to high rise balconies.
Register: The cost of the class is $15 for the general public and $10 for members of Homestead Atlanta (please bring proof of membership on the day of the class).
Space is limited. Purchase tickets by clicking the Pay Pal BUY NOW button below or by calling Garden*Hood at 404-880-9848. Please include your full name, phone number, and email.
