Benefiting PRIDE Atlanta
Friday, June 3 * 6-8pm * Garden*Hood
Flower*Hour is when we get to treat YOU to an evening of festive companionship in the garden. Our gates stay open until 8pm, and the wonderful folks from Stone Soup Kitchen will be serving complimentary adult beverages and light bites starting at 6pm.
We’ll also be helping to raise funds and awareness for our special non-profit guest, PRIDE Atlanta. The Atlanta Pride Committee is dedicated to promoting unity, visibility, and self-esteem among lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, and transgender and queer persons and within the Atlanta area and throughout the Southeast. In addition to founding and coordinating the widely successful annual PRIDE parade, the Atlanta Pride Committee works tirelessly to provide a range of support services and community-strengthening activities for Atlanta’s LGBTQQ citizens.
Huge strides have been made on national level recently, but there are still critical civil rights battles to be fought on a state and local level. The Atlanta Pride Committee is instrumental in leading that charge. This Friday Stone Soup will be donating all of its Flower*Hour tips to PRIDE, and G*H will match that amount at the end of the evening. Help us blow last year’s donations out of the water!
Bring the family, bring your friends, bring your dogs – this is your party. We’ll supply the ambiance, the plants, and first dibs on our big June sale. We’ve also got tips for planting in summer and special tricks for getting your entire garden – new plants and old – through the next four months with flying colors.
So, empty out the trunk, fill your heart with love, and head on over to Flower*Hour this Friday evening!
