 | | Bergenia ciliataThis rarely offered plant has been one of our best selling shade perennials in 2010! Medium-green, fuzzy foliage emerges in spring and continues to grow (each leaf reaching nearly saucer size!), short spikes of pinky-white flowers rise just above foliage in mid-spring. Dies back to the ground in winter, re-emerges in spring. Clump forming, 1' high x 2-3' wide. Best in shade and amended, well-drained soil. |
Camellia sasanqua 'Tiny Princess'This special Camellia is rarely offered. Its miniature semi-double, pink-and-white fragrant flowers come in profusion in late winter. Gardenia 'Frostproof'This terrific plant produces literally "hundreds" of sweetly fragrant, double white flowers from spring through summer. Viburnum cinnamomifoliumYet another durable quick evergreen for shade is the underutilized and rarely offered, Viburnum cinnamomifolium. This shrub commonly reaches 10-15' high and wide. Glossy evergreen foliage and white spring flowers. Terrific in partial shade to shade and average to poor soil. | |  |

Thuja koraiensis 'Glauca Prostrata'This low-growing evergreen makes a superb foundation planting or evergreen centerpiece in a container! Bluish-green upper foliage, lovely white on the undersides.
